Zion National Park.

Driving through Zion National Park is an exercise in silence. Gasps punctuate a blanket of hushed reverence. Rock screams out of the earth, in all directions, glowing red and gold, as if to mock the great skyscrapers of the modern age. The sun floats across the sky and shadows loom, engulfing wide canyons, deep gulches and lesser stone in thick twilight darkness. But as the sun moves, different peaks step out nobly into the light, affirming the thought you cannot shake from your head: this is a special place that has not been forgotten.

Therefore thus saith the Lord God, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation of stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste.

-Isaiah 28:16

Here are some big wins, and some big losses. Texas Hold 'Em is a fickle game.

Scenes from a lake.

After spending a few days in northern Wisconsin, I had a few hundred photos. I had some action-packed tubing photos, some picturesque lake landscapes, and some very dynamic wake boarding and water-skiing photos. But I figure you can look at a magazine if you want to see that.

Here are some shots that aren't perfect. But they are interesting. And they were taken on a lake.
